Newly Covered Industries

Effective January 1, 2009, the Government of Manitoba added a number of industries to those currently requiring workers compensation coverage following consultations with Manitobans. 

The WCB has been contacting employers in newly covered industries to start registering them with the WCB. If you are an employer in one of these newly covered industries, you do not need to wait to hear from the WCB. Please complete this registration questionnaire which you can submit online to the Assessment Services Department. The information you provide will help the WCB determine if you must register with us. Once we receive your form, we will contact you within 30 days to advise you of next steps.

Employers in Agriculture

WCB coverage has been extended to farming operations with workers on their payroll. Coverage provides advantages for both Manitoba employers and workers. If you are an employer in agriculture, we encourage you to fill out an online registration questionnaire which will help us determine if you need to register with the WCB.
